First Step of Building Online Store - Create Helpful Content For Readers

Preparing to start an online store needs to start with creating helpful content for readers, and for search engines to pick up. Simply listing the products will not be enough to create web traffic, good search ratings, and popularity with readers.

Visitors will keep coming back to read the new content.  They might list your site under their favorites, refer their friends, or click to receive updates via an RSS feed.

Search engines often find blog software to be search friendly, and blogs may rank higher than regular websites.

The video below will discuss some of these topics.

How To Use A Video On Your Blog to Promote Your Organization

I made the video below for the Central Coast Seniors Center, and you can do the same to promote your favorite nonprofit organization. At youtube.com and other similar video sites you can upload videos to promote your nonprofit organization on the internet, or just provide videos for enjoyment.

(1)      One easy way to do this is with Windows software, which includes the free Windows Movie Maker, but you can use any of the free softwares on the internet to do this.

(2)     For an example of a nonprofit organization with a slideshow on youtube.com you can click on the link below which will jump to the video on youtube. (This is done by copying the address and then pasting it here.)

(3)     The slideshow from youtube is also featured as an example in this post. (This is done by copying the code where it says "embed" and then pasting the code here.)

Pasting Video Entertainment from YouTube on Your Site

Everything from music videos, to Broadway musicals, to films can be found now on the internet.   To put this on a website

(1) just click and highlight where it says "embed" and then

(2) paste it into the "post" box on your blog, after choosing the "HTML"  tab.

Bloggers Can Get Free Computer Courses at e-learningcenter.com

Looking for bargain priced computer learning?  At the website for "e-Learning That Works" at e-learningcenter.com you can take free, self-paced online courses in Excel, Windows, Microsoft Office, HTML, Investing, Customer Service, and more.

For a fee you can access all 30 class modules, including classes on website builders like Dreamweaver and Cold Fusion.  I'm taking some courses there on programming.  My approach, which I used in college, is to first go quickly through the course to get an overall concept of what it is about, then go more slowly to practice it, and then zip through it a third time to make sure it sticks in my mind.
